Natalie has been studying varied forms of Hatha yoga since 1981, including Anusara, Ashtanga, Bikram, Kundalini, Iyengar and the style some call Viniyoga. She started teaching in 1995, blending her experience into light-hearted classes where students feel free to make their own multi-layered study of the self, extending way beyond the physical. She promotes each class as an act of self-discovery, not just by emphasizing body-awareness through asana, but also by encouraging us to unveil the patterns of thought and emotion that underlie our movement, to reveal and celebrate our true nature. She believes that the healthiest approach to life and yoga involves welcoming disparate viewpoints, to honor our complex personalities and our multi-cultural world. To highlight this, she teaches restorative Yoga Nidra, a therapeutic class dubbed Rockin' Roller Relief, and a style she calls Funyasa™, a power-vinyasa hybrid with special emphasis on fun. She's the owner of Dharma Studio.
