Ernesto began his yoga practice in his native Cuba, and taught there from 1993 through February 2017, when he relocated to Miami. He earned a Yoga and Vedanta Teaching Certification at the International Yoga and Vedanta Ashram in Nassau, Bahamas in 1998. He also completed the Teacher Training Course at the Cuban Association of Yoga in 2000, both recognized by Yoga Alliance. Ernesto has been trained by International Yoga Teachers: He studied Ayurveda with Vamadeva Sastri (David Frawley); Ashtanga with Chuck Miller & Maty Ezraty and with Larry Schultz; Kundalini with Krishna Kaur Khalsa; and various other studies with Rodney Yee, Mary Paffard, Jason Crandell, Baxter Bell, M.D. & Tias Little. He is an Ayurvedic counselor, trained in Mind Body Medicine with Deepak Chopra, M.D. and David Simon, M.D. Ernesto's classes are a joyous combination of Ashtanga and Sivananda Yoga. As a yoga teacher, Ernesto imbues his classes with age-old practices; he uses traditional sanskrit names for poses, and puts emphasis on Vedanta Philosophy and Vedanta meditation.
